We are committed to providing our agricultural customers the fastest, most reliable shipping options to ensure your products arrive when you need them for optimal growing conditions.
Shipping Methods and Transit Times
We offer multiple shipping methods to meet your agricultural timing needs:
- Standard Ground Shipping — 1 to 6 business days (average 2 to 3 business days)
- Two Day Air — 2 business days from ship date
- Next Day Air — 1 business day from ship date
- Freight/LTL Shipping — 3 to 10 business days for large or bulk agricultural items
Certain agricultural products may require additional processing time prior to shipping due to special handling requirements, regulatory compliance, or seasonal availability. All shipping timeframes apply to business days only and do not include weekends or holidays. Shipping times are calculated from the date of shipment, not from order placement.
Shipping Cost Calculation
Our shipping fees are calculated based on package weight, dimensions, delivery destination, and selected shipping method. Our shopping cart automatically computes shipping costs using direct carrier calculators. We do not charge handling fees or inflate calculated shipping rates.
We reserve the right to notify you of any additional shipping charges necessary to deliver your order. While we strive for accurate shipping calculations, certain situations may require adjustment including:
- Rural delivery locations
- Shipments requiring multiple pallets
- Island deliveries
- Hazardous material surcharges for agricultural chemicals
- Specialized handling for live plants and perishables
If additional shipping charges are required, you will be notified immediately and have the right to modify or cancel your order for a full refund.
Order Processing and Fulfillment
Most orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days, though certain agricultural products may require additional processing time. Orders placed before 11 AM PST Monday through Friday have priority for same day processing when items are in stock.
We ship from multiple warehouses and distribution centers to reduce transit time and ensure product freshness. Orders always ship from the location closest to your delivery address with available stock. Orders may be fulfilled directly by manufacturers or distributors to reduce shipping time and maintain product quality.
If you order multiple items, we make every effort to ship available items together. When necessary, orders may ship from several locations at no additional cost to you. You will receive tracking information for each portion of your shipment.
Delivery Locations
We ship within the contiguous 48 United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. We do not currently ship outside of the United States. Please consider using a freight forwarding service for international deliveries.
Important Note: Free shipping promotions and discounts do not apply to Alaska or Hawaii due to additional carrier costs and geographic shipping requirements.
Agricultural Product Shipping Considerations
Live Plants and Perishables
Orders containing live plants, seeds, or other perishable agricultural products receive priority processing and specialized packaging to ensure viability during transit. These shipments may require expedited shipping methods and cannot be held for extended periods.
Seasonal Shipping Restrictions
Certain agricultural products may have seasonal shipping restrictions based on weather conditions, optimal planting times, or product viability. We will notify you of any seasonal limitations that may affect your order.
Regulated Agricultural Products
Fertilizers, pesticides, animal feeds, and other regulated products may require additional processing time for compliance verification and special handling requirements mandated by USDA, EPA, or state agricultural departments.
Bulk Agricultural Supplies
Large quantity orders of feed, seed, soil amendments, or other bulk products will automatically ship via freight and may require special scheduling for delivery.
Freight and LTL Shipping
Oversized items including large grow tents, commercial equipment, bulk soil products, palletized feed, and orders exceeding standard shipping dimensions will ship via freight.
Freight Deposits and Estimates
We require a refundable freight deposit prior to providing freight estimates for qualifying orders. Freight estimates are calculated and emailed within 24 hours of order submission. To approve your freight estimate, respond to the freight estimate email.
Freight Delivery Process
All freight shipments are delivered by scheduled appointment only. The freight carrier will contact you directly within 24 to 48 hours to arrange delivery. You must respond within 24 hours to confirm your delivery appointment. Failure to respond may result in additional fees and delays.
Freight Inspection Requirements
You must inspect all freight shipments for damage before signing the delivery receipt. DO NOT accept damaged shipments. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing. Your signature confirms receipt in acceptable condition, after which reimbursement for damage claims cannot be processed.
Free Shipping Offers
We periodically offer free shipping promotions for specific categories, order minimums, or site wide offers. Free shipping typically applies to standard ground delivery only. Freight orders over $3,500 may qualify for free freight shipping to qualifying locations.
Expedited Shipping
For time sensitive agricultural needs, expedited shipping options are available:
- Orders requiring Next Day or Two Day Air placed after 11 AM PST should be confirmed by phone at +1 888.488.9220 to ensure same day processing
- Some locations in Alaska and Hawaii require additional transit time even with expedited services
- Agricultural products with limited shelf life automatically receive expedited processing
Order Tracking
Once shipped, you will receive email confirmation with tracking information for each portion of your shipment. Click the tracking link to monitor your package progress on the carrier's website. If you do not receive tracking information within 48 hours of order placement, contact us at support@usaag.com or +1 888.488.9220.
Delivery and Signature Requirements
Due to the value and specialized nature of many agricultural products, signature confirmation may be required for certain shipments. This security measure ensures safe delivery to the correct recipient and protects against theft or fraud.
Standard shipping carriers will make three delivery attempts. If unsuccessful, the package will be returned to sender, and you will be responsible for reshipment costs.
Discreet Shipping
We understand privacy concerns for agricultural customers. Most orders ship in plain packaging without identifying markings. Palletized shipments can be black wrapped for additional privacy. Request discreet shipping during checkout or contact customer service.
Address Changes and Delivery Issues
Address change requests after shipment will incur carrier imposed intercept fees. Provide accurate shipping information to avoid delays and additional charges.
If your tracking shows delivered but you have not received your package:
- Check the delivery area and with others who may have accepted delivery
- Contact us immediately at +1 888.488.9220
- We will initiate a carrier investigation for missing packages
Important: We cannot be held responsible for packages stolen from the delivery address. Please ship to a secure location or arrange for signature confirmation.
Refused Shipments
You are responsible for full freight charges both ways and a minimum 20% restocking fee for refused shipments, unless the refusal is due to damage incurred during transit or shipping errors made by our company.
Backorders
If items are temporarily out of stock, we may ship available items and backorder unavailable products at no additional shipping cost. You will be contacted regarding backorder status and given options to wait for availability or receive a refund for unavailable items.
Shipping Disclaimers
Unforeseen events beyond our control including severe weather, natural disasters, carrier delays, or agricultural regulatory holds may affect shipping times. We will notify you of any significant delays and work to minimize impact on your agricultural operations.
Damaged Shipments
Inspect all shipments carefully upon delivery. Report damage or missing items to the delivery driver and note issues on the delivery receipt. Contact us immediately for damaged shipment resolution.
Missing, Lost, and Stolen Packages
While we work diligently with carriers to ensure safe delivery, USA AG LLC is not responsible for packages that are missing, lost, or stolen after confirmed delivery by the carrier. We recommend shipping to secure locations and requesting signature confirmation for valuable orders.
